The Hawk Mountain Ground Search and Rescue School and the Ranger Training Facility are managed by the Civil Air Patrol's Pennsylvania Wing's Operations Section, a unit of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. Located about 1.5 hours North of Philadelphia, PA, Hawk Mountain trains Cadets and Senior Members from around the country. CONGRATULATIONS! Lt. Bill Miles of NYWG has earned the Rating of Expert Ranger, now currently the Baby Belt, #212. Lt. Jason Phipps of Squadron 1001 (PA) has earned the Rating of Master Medic, the 19th Master Medic in the history of the program.
The following Scarves were awarded during the school: Lt. Konnie Hauser of NCWG and C/Lt Paul Rigez of Squadron 203 (PA) were both awarded Orange Scarves. C/Lt Daniel Farris and C/Lt Tessa Bagely, both of NVWG, were awarded Red Scarves. C/SSGT Zach Brizek of Squadron 811 (PA) was awarded a Yellow Scarf. Congratulations to all who graduated Mike Squadron and were awarded a Green Scarf.
