Memorials, & The Tree Fund
I would like to pass
along an announcement that I made during The Hawk Mountain Ranger School Skit
Night in a little more detail.
Hawk Mountain has several Memorials honoring Staff members that have pasted away
over the years.
To keep this tradition, we need Donations. There has been a special
Memorial Fund set up in the Pennsylvania Wing Accounts. This fund will be
used for creating a memorial park, garden, or walk, with a large stone memorial
that would have names added thought the years, rather than individual memorials,
in addition to the preservation of the memorials.
If you would like to serve on the Memorial Committee or have any ideas for the
memorial park/walk/garden, please contact 1LT DeEtte Riley at 814-632-8341 or

Noting that this donation is to be deposited in the Hawk Mountain Memorial Fund
Betty Jones, Krista Griesacker, David Watson, & Duke Curto are the latest
four that were considerably active, have deceased, and do not have memorials.
In addition to this announcement I passed a can around for a Hawk Mountain
Ranger School Parade Field Tree Replacement Fund.
We would like to replace the Parade Field Tree that did not survive one of the
summer storms two years ago.
We will dedicate this Tree to all the Black & Red Belts that have served our
Staff.
